WINTER - Water Element
Organs: Kidneys & Bladder
The official start to winter is 21st December. The water element is all about stillness and contemplation, invaluable in order to see where life is taking us.
Our Yoga class at this time of year will include lots of forward bends and back bends. This sends energy tothe kidneys and bladder and support spinal health. We will be working with a gentle flow to keep the body mobile and flexible.
Spring - Wood Element
Organs: Liver & Gallbladder
The official start to Spring is 21st March. The energy of spring is like the sap rising and move, determind to rise up and move forward. The feeling of new energy is send you into a purge of cleansing your body, house, car and wardrope. Our Yoga class at this time of year will work on foundation within the pose, provinding strong roots to grow out of, giving you both stability and strength.
Summer - Fire Element
Organs: Heart & Small Intestines
The official start to Summer is 21st June. The Summer and Fire energy is more warm, active physical and passionate than any other season. Natures energy is at its peak, so try and match it with yours. The fire element is all about heat and high energy: a time to live life to the full. The Yoga practice is about building up heat in the body and working with a heart opening practice to build strenght and flixibility.
Late Summer - Earth Element
Orgins: Stomach and Spleen
The official start to Late Summer is 21st August. This is the time of year to return, and operate from a strong sense of centre and self worth. Its a time to create comfort, stability and balance for in preperation for the comming Autumn and Winter. Our Yoga Practice is about improving balance, develpoing muscle tone and strethen your core.
Autumn - Metel Element
Orgins: Lungs and Large Intestine
The Offical start to Autumn is 21st October. This is the time of year when the nights are drawing in and nature is slowing down with shorter days and longer nights. Our Yoga practice starts to slow down and gather inwards. We focus on breathing techniques the strenthen the lungs and make sure we dont compromise the breath in the postures.
