Claire attended her first yoga class in 2000 at the Chi Yoga Centre and was instantly hooked. She practices Seasonal Flow Yoga and Ashtanga. Claire graduated in 2008 as a CyS yoga teacher under the guidance of Julie Hanson and June Mitchell who helped her gain knowledge of the traditions of yoga. Claire has been teaching classes regularly since then and her classes are designed to invigorate, strengthen and calm the body by combining postures into a flow sequence. The flow sequence, sometimes known as seasonal flow, helps promote an overall flexibility and vitality which creates increased levels of energy in tune with each season.
Since becoming a mother Claire has taken a special interest in pre and post-natal yoga. Her Mummy and Me class offers a unique opportunity for the new mother to enjoy a gentle yoga practice and learn baby massage to calm baby and mother, deepening their loving bond.
Claire believes that yoga brings clarity and focus and greatly enhances your quality of life as well as being a steady support through difficult times.
Claire’s enthusiasm for all things yoga continues to see her taking on new challenges to enhance her own practice and teaching skills. She is committed to ongoing personal and professional development and continues to enhance her knowledge of yoga by attending various workshops and intensive training with renowned teachers such as David Keil, Manji Jois and John Scott.
